Privacy Policy
For ALIn3D on Mac and Apple Vision Pro
Effective and last updated: September 15, 2026
1. Scope
This policy covers ALIn3D for Mac and Apple Vision Pro, including versions obtained through our download website or Apple distribution channels. It explains how both apps handle information during device discovery, connections, screen capture, transmission and display, and how you can manage that information. “We” means ALIn3D’s developer, 张圣赐.
You do not need to create an ALIn3D account. Normal device discovery, connections and screen display do not pass through developer-operated servers.
2. Screen content and local processing
During a connection, the Mac app captures the display being shared, including a virtual display created by the app, after you grant screen-recording permission. It sends the picture to the Vision Pro app for decoding and display. This may include documents, messages and other personal information visible on your screen. Be mindful of what you share.
Screen frames and the control, color and depth information needed for display and spatial effects are processed on your devices and transmitted over the local network or system-supported device-to-device connections. ALIn3D does not upload this content to the developer or to third-party AI services, and has no feature for saving it as a screen recording. Received frames are temporarily held in memory for decoding and display.
The current version does not capture or transmit microphone or system audio. Spatial effects use local processing of screen content; the app does not read Vision Pro’s raw camera images or eye-tracking data.
3. Device discovery, identifiers and preferences
To recognize devices and reconnect, ALIn3D processes device display names, local network addresses, randomly generated app device identifiers, connection status and selected display settings.
- Local service discovery advertises a service name and device identifier to nearby or local-network devices that can discover that service. A device name may contain personal information you included in it.
- Vision Pro: stores display preferences, a cached device name and the identifier of your last selected Mac locally. A stable random device identifier is also stored in this device’s Keychain so that the Mac can recognize the device after a reinstall. It is not an advertising identifier.
- Mac: stores a randomly generated Mac connection identifier and records of previously connected Vision Pro devices, including their name, identifier, trust status and last connection time. It also saves preferences or state for image quality, frame rate, screen orientation, display arrangement, spatial effects, Dock icon visibility and permission setup. You can change the relevant settings, revoke device trust or remove device records in the Mac app.
To adjust displays during a connection, the Mac app also reads system state such as display layout, brightness, pointer sharing and accessibility zoom, and temporarily keeps the information needed to restore it locally. Some recovery records remain until restoration completes so the app can recover after an unexpected exit. The app does not upload them to the developer.
This information is not used for advertising profiles, cross-app tracking or sale, and ALIn3D does not automatically send it to the developer.
4. Permissions and connection security
Local Network: used to discover and connect your Mac and Vision Pro, and to transfer screen content. You can manage Local Network access under Privacy & Security in Settings or System Settings. Disabling it prevents the related connection features from working normally.
Mac screen recording: requested by the Mac app to capture the Mac display. The Vision Pro app itself does not request Mac screen-recording permission. You can disconnect at any time or revoke permission on your Mac under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording.
The current device-to-device transport does not include end-to-end encryption provided by ALIn3D. Use devices and networks you trust, and disconnect when you have finished.
5. Diagnostics, TestFlight and feedback
ALIn3D may output local diagnostic logs containing connection status, errors, performance information, and device names, device identifiers or identifier fragments, connection addresses and network-path information needed to troubleshoot connections. The app does not integrate a third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK, or independently upload these logs to developer-operated servers.
The following TestFlight information applies only to versions installed and tested through TestFlight. Apple automatically collects crash logs and usage information and shares them with the developer; this may include your device model and operating-system version. Whether the developer sees your name and email depends on the invitation method; accepting only a public-link invitation does not reveal them. Feedback you submit may include screenshots, text and contact details. If your feedback includes a screenshot, the screen content in it is also sent to Apple and the developer. We use received testing information only to investigate issues, improve the app and respond to feedback, and follow TestFlight’s requirement not to share it with third parties. See Apple’s TestFlight & Privacy information.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send, and use them only to handle your request. Please avoid including sensitive information unrelated to the issue.
6. Retention, deletion and privacy requests
Local preferences and device records remain until you change them, remove a record or delete the relevant app data.
- Mac: moving the app to the Trash does not necessarily remove its local preferences, Mac connection identifier or device records. You can change preferences, revoke trust or remove device records in the app. Contact the email below for instructions if you want to clear all local app settings.
- Vision Pro: deleting the app removes its application data, but backup copies are managed through Apple’s backup settings, and the stable Keychain device identifier may survive uninstalling. The current version has no separate button to erase that identifier, and the developer cannot erase it remotely.
After you revoke trust or remove a Vision Pro record in the Mac app, that device can no longer initiate a connection using the saved trust relationship. An ongoing connection must be disconnected separately; changing trust does not immediately end it.
The operating system manages retention and removal of local diagnostic logs. We retain support emails or exported beta feedback only as long as needed to handle requests and follow up on issues, then delete them when no longer needed, unless applicable law requires retention. Testing data held on Apple’s platform is also subject to its retention rules and available controls.
Use the email below to request access to, correction of or deletion of information you supplied directly to us, or to ask about managing local data. We cannot remotely access screen content, preferences or Keychain data stored on your devices.
7. Third-party services and website visits
ALIn3D does not sell or rent personal information or use screen content for advertising or model training. Apart from your connected devices, the Apple beta-testing services described above and email services needed to handle messages you send us, the current Mac and Vision Pro apps have no developer cloud service that receives user data.
When you view this policy or another external website, your browser requests the page over the internet. Hosting and network providers process request information needed to deliver and protect the page, such as IP addresses. ALIn3D does not attach screen-sharing content or local device records when opening those webpages.
The webpage code we provide includes no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. External links and your use of Apple or email services are also subject to those providers’ privacy policies.
8. Policy updates
We will update this page and its date when app features or data practices change. Where applicable law or the system requires additional notice or consent, we will follow those requirements.
